COMPAS Client Download

This page will help you install the Enterprise 1.4 release of COMPAS on Windows XP, 2000, ME, NT, 98, or 95 (See Documentation for information about this release).

Download Client Now.

The file must be downloaded to your computer. It should be unzipped using the password obtained from MesaRidge support.

To unzip the file using a password, run

unzip -e client.zip

and provide the password obtained from MesaRidge support. It will then extract the file named compas14.exe. Run this self-extracting executable and it will either upgrade your existing release of COMPAS or do a complete install. If you select an existing installation directory, the install program will only update the files which are newer in this release. If you want a "fresh" installation, it is best accomplished by uninstalling the existing COMPAS before executing this install program.

You can remove compas14.exe after COMPAS is successfully installed.

If you do not already have the Adobe Acrobat Reader, then you should download it. Follow the directions for downloading and installing the Adobe Acrobat Reader.

If you do not install acroread in the adobe default directory (\Acrobat3) then you need to change the ncompasrc file in the COMPAS home directory so that COMPAS can find the Adobe reader. For example, if you have Windows 95 installed, your new entry in the ncompasrc file should contain the line:

browser = all, pdf; [your drive letter and acroread-directory]\Reader\AcroRd32.exe

You can make this change from the COMPAS main window by selecting the Edit/Preferences menu item.
