To put a frame book into COMPAS, you first need to make a zip file which contains: 1) a single book file, 2) all chapter files, 3) all imported graphics files. It is very important that the single book filename ends in ".book". Frame book component file names should be unique within the first 8 characters.

To zip files on the SUN UNIX environment, use the command: /usr/add-on/ncmp/bin/zip (zip-filename) (source-files)

To zip files on a windows PC - use winzip or pkzip.

When you deliver the zip file to COMPAS using COMPAS Enterprise: It is unzipped and a pdf format file (required by COMPAS) is automatically produced.

To download a frame book out of COMPAS, use the Copy button. It will copy the original zip file to a specified directory, where you can unzip it.
